The Lone Star Music team members weren’t the only San Martians representing the 78666 at last Friday’s LSM/KOKE-FM sponsored “Dillo Mixer” at Threadgill’s. Also making the short trek up I-35 for the festivities was San Marcos’ most happening young Western swing and classic country outfit, the Railhouse Band. Led by lead singer and guitarist Candler Wilkinson IV, the six-member band played an up-tempo mix of old-school swing, honky-tonky, gypsy jazz nuggets — including a handful of fresh originals, like this little jump blues number of Wilkinson’s, “You Oughta Be Ashamed.”

Other performers at the day-long affair included Sunny Sweeney, Robyn Ludwick, Walt Wilkins, Shinyribs, Chris Fullerton, Shaney Cooley & the Midnight Girls, Band of Heathens, and the Jibs.
