dillo-mixer-posterLone Star Music and KOKE FM’s annual “Dillo Mixer” day party moved to new digs this year (upstairs at Cooper’s Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que on Congress, smack in the heart of downtown Austin), but the lineup was as stacked as ever, showcasing some of the best Americana roots ‘n’ roll acts in town at the height of South by Southwest mania. On behalf of all us here at Lone Star Music and our friends at KOKE, thanks to Cooper’s for having us and to all the fans who came out throughout the afternoon. And above all, thank you to all of the artists who played this year: Mike Ethan Messick, Adam and Chris Carroll, Kathryn Legendre, Mayeux & Broussard, Prophets and Outlaws, Copper Chief, Folk Family Revival, and — coming all the way from Las Vegas, Nevada — Jeff Mix & the Songhearts.

Here’s just a sampling of some of the day’s highlights, with one song each from every set. And if you want to hear even more, visit our Lone Star Music page on Facebook for an entirely different batch of songs that we shared Friday afternoon via Facebook Live.
